April 2012: Check out our free Blower Door Test App for the iPhone and iPad. The iTEC RESNET App is designed to help our users easily complete a one-point Blower Door test in accordance with the new RESNET test standard.

March 2012: Our new TECTITE 4.0 Blower Door Test Analysis Software is now available from our website at no charge. TECTITE 4.0 supports the new RESNET Blower Door testing standards, includes mechanical ventilation calculations based on ASHRAE 62.2-10, and has a built-in PDF report generator.

January 2012: TEC announces the introduction of its FlowBlaster Capture Hood Accessory for accurately measuring air flows through residential registers. The FlowBlaster attaches to your Duct Blaster fan and quickly gives you precision air flow measurements between 10 and 300 CFM. The FlowBlaster is powered by a new combination fan speed controller and rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery.

November 2011: TEC is now selling its new TEC Trainer test demonstration enclosure. The TEC Trainer makes it easy to demonstrate Blower Door and duct leakage testing procedures right in the classroom. The Trainer includes a single test enclosure with 3 adjustable leak windows and a duct system for a variety of testing applications.

September 2011: Cruise Control is now a standard feature on all new Duct Blaster systems.

August 2010: The price for calibrating a digital pressure gauge will increase to $75 (currently $50) on October 1, 2010. In addition, the price for calibrating an APT data acquisition box will increase to $100 (currently $75). See our Calibration and Repair page for more information.

November 2009: A USB communication port has now been added to all new DG-700 gauges. Minneapolis Blower Door systems ordered after November 18, 2009 will include the new DG-700 gauge, as well as a copy of the TECTITE software and a USB communication cable at no extra cost. The USB port is not retrofitable to older DG-700 gauges.

June 2007: Cruise Control is now a standard feature on all new DG-700 gauges. Cruise control lets you control a Blower Door fan to maintain a constant 75 Pa, 50 Pa, 25 Pa or 0 Pa building pressure, without having the gauge connected to a computer.

September 2004: DG-500 Digital Pressure Gauge is introduced. Beginning September 2004, the DG-2 gauge will be discontinued and replaced by the DG-500.

February 2004: A 30 day demonstration version of the new TECTITE 3.2 Software can now be downloaded from our website. TECTITE 3.2 incorporates the new ASHRAE 62.2-2003 residential ventilation standard. Standard 62.2 includes a requirement for whole building mechanical ventilation which is based on estimated occupancy and the building floor area. TECTITE 3.1 can be purchased for $175, or you can upgrade at no charge if you have already purchased an earlier version of the TECTITE program.

January 2003: Our ZPD Calculation Utility software is offered at no charge from our website. This program can be used with a Blower Door to quickly perform zone pressure diagnostics (ZPD) calculations and estimate the amount of air leakage from attached zones in a house.

The booklet covers the 5 most common problems keeping HVAC systems from delivering comfort using colorful illustrations and photos.
